Is it an Outdoor Clothesline or an Indoor Clothesline?
The Invisible Clothesline is made from powder coated galvanised steel, so you can put it
either outside or inside. Discreet enough to put indoors, and tough enough to handle the outdoors, the decision is yours.
Is it fully assembled?
Yes, The Invisible Clothesline comes completely assembled.
What size is it?
The Invisible Clothesline measures 100cm wide, 70cm tall and 2.5cm deep when closed. When open, the drying racks extend 65cm from the wall, and the cover extends 91cm. It has more than fifteen metres of hanging space, and can handle large washing machine loads.
Does it have a guarantee?
Yes, your Invisible Clothesline is covered by a two-year replacement guarantee on materials and workmanship. Rest assured in the knowledge that every Invisible Clothesline is made of high quality powder coated galvanised steel. Providing a very high level of rust protection, and many years of satisfying use, either inside or out, under normal domestic use.
What colours does it come in?
The Invisible Clothesline comes in gloss white, and can be painted any colour you wish by using an appropriate primer and paint. Only paint the outside of the cover. Do not paint the racks or any internal parts. Different colours can be arranged for special orders.
How easy is it to install?

Installation does require the use of four; six mm wall anchors. Either four coach bolts for plasterboard/timber frame walls, or four “Dyna-bolt” type bolts for brickwork/masonry walls (supplied). You will also need a stud finder, drill and drill bits (not supplied).
It is supplied with an installation template, and has a variety of mounting holes, allowing flexible placement on your wall. If you prefer to have your unit installed for you, we recommend consulting the “handyman” section of your local paper or yellow pages.
Where can I get the wall anchors?
The wall anchors are supplied with your clothesline. If in doubt regarding wall anchor installation, consult your local hardware store.
Can I install it on a paling fence?
Yes you can. You will need to ensure that both sides of the backing plate are supported by fence palings (rather than gaps).
What can I do if after I have installed my Invisible Clothesline, the magnets do not hold the cover closed?
You will find that the magnets are quite strong, and the problem will be the cover not getting close enough to the backing plate.
This is rare, and is caused by one or more of the following;

Sometimes the wall is not flat, resulting in one corner being pulled in too far when the backing plate is tightened.

Sometimes the drilled holes are too close together, resulting in the backing plate warping on the wall.
This situation is easily fixed by:

Making sure that all the magnets are adjusted to their outermost position, and tightened in place.

Easing off the wall anchors from being very tight, to firmly in place (this will reduce any warping associated with your wall)

If it is still not holding firmly on one corner, put some packing behind the backing plate on that corner, under the magnet strike plate.
Are there other sizes?
At this stage we have the one size, however different sizes are planned for future development.
How do you fit large sheets on it?
The way to dry large bed sheets is to leave the lower rack up, (this gives you more drop from the upper rack), then have the bed sheets doubled over lengthwise. When you put it on the rack, hang it over a pair of rack wires (this will leave an air gap between the two hanging lengths).
What maintenance is required?
From time to time it is a good idea to apply a wax based lubricant, such as “Dri – lube”, to the support channels on each side of the backing plate.(see installation instructions). We also recommend occasionally wiping over your Invisible clothesline with a damp sponge. To retain a perfect finish, you may choose to apply a reputable brand of car wax twice per year to the cover only.
